Tattoo Project
My strongest area on this piece had to be where I put the tattoo because I could have put it somewhere where I wouldn’t be able to make it look realistic but I was able to pick a picture where I could. Something I could have possibly done better was blending the tattoo to make it look like it was actually on my skin, because with the way I did it, it doesn’t really look realistic and it still looks like it was photoshopped. The easiest part about this had to be drawing the tattoo, because I found what I wanted to do and after that it was just easy to draw it because the design was so simple. On the other hand, it was hard finding a good enough picture to actually put the tattoo on, and then also finding a good tattoo that would fit on the space that I had in the picture. Also, I had to decide where I actually wanted to put the tattoo but my options were limited because of the pictures I had available. To do this project, I used the dodge and burn tool, the blur tool, and the warp option. I also used the magic wand tool and the multiply blending mode. I followed the instructions for this project by drawing something I would actually get tattooed on my body and somewhat successfully make it look like I actually did get it tattooed. If I did this again, I would choose a better picture, because I wasn’t able to get the design I wanted and make it look the way I wanted it to look because there was almost no place for me to put the tattoo. Also, if I had enough time and I put enough effort into it, I would maybe pick a more detailed design for my tattoo.
